Second Leading the Future Healthcare CPD Day – Report
On 25th April 2024, at the stunning Brookfield House, University of Leicester Business School, our second CPD event was attended by 149 guests: 85% were NHS trainee doctors, 10% are consultants, NHS Trust leaders and policymakers, and 5% were researchers from 5 different Universities who have ongoing NHS-related research projects.

Nine out of ten trainee doctors are concerned about the current state of the National Health Service (NHS), a University of Leicester report has found.
Uncertainty – Exhausting Foundation Year Doctors
With the NHS in the grips of a staffing crisis , the strikes, retention and attrition of junior doctors in training is a pressing concern. In 2022, the rate of doctors leaving after Foundation Year 2, rather than continue training was 45% , nationally.
